Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of StintPay ("the Service"), operated by StintPay ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using StintPay, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
What StintPay Is
StintPay is a job management and invoicing tool for independent service workers. It helps you organize jobs, communicate with customers, and send invoices. StintPay is a software tool — it is not a payment processor, financial institution, employer, staffing agency, or contractor marketplace.
StintPay does not process, hold, transfer, or guarantee any payments between workers and their customers. All payments happen directly between workers and customers through third-party apps (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, etc.). We are not a party to those transactions.
Your Account
You must be at least 18 years old to use StintPay. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Keep your phone number current — it's how you log in. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@stintpay.com.
You may only create one account per phone number. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Subscription and Billing
StintPay offers a free tier (up to 20 jobs) and a Pro subscription at $15/month. Billing is handled by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
You can cancel anytime through Settings → Manage Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
SMS Communications
By using StintPay, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your account and jobs — including booking confirmations, invoice links, scheduling updates, and account notifications. Standard message and data rates may apply.
When customers submit a booking request through your StintPay booking link, they consent to receive SMS updates about their booking. You are responsible for ensuring your customers understand this when sharing your booking link.
You can opt out of non-essential SMS messages by replying STOP. Note that opting out of all messages may affect your ability to use certain features of the Service.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use StintPay to:
- •Send spam, unsolicited messages, or harass customers
- •Engage in fraudulent activity or misrepresent your services
- •Violate any applicable laws, including consumer protection laws
- •Attempt to reverse engineer or copy the Service
- •Use the Service in any way that could harm other users or the platform
Your Data
You own your data. Job records, customer information, and invoices you create in StintPay belong to you. You can export your paid job history at any time as a CSV from your dashboard.
By using StintPay, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data and do not sell it.
Limitation of Liability
StintPay is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StintPay is not liable for:
- •Payment disputes between workers and their customers
- •Lost income or missed jobs due to service interruptions
- •SMS delivery failures outside our control
- •Actions taken by third-party payment apps
- •Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.
Termination
You can close your account at any time by contacting hello@stintpay.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.
Upon termination, your access to the Service ends. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as StintPay evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes via SMS or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
