Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

Workers: When you create an account, we collect your name, phone number, trade type, and booking link slug. If you subscribe to StintPay Pro, we also collect billing information through Stripe (we never see your full card number). If you enable card payments for your customers, you will complete identity verification through Stripe Connect. During that process, Stripe directly collects your legal name, date of birth, government-issued ID, SSN (last 4 or full, depending on volume), and bank account information. StintPay never sees or stores this information — it goes directly to Stripe.

Customers: When a customer submits a booking request, we collect their name, phone number, address, and job description. This information is stored on behalf of the worker they booked with.

Usage: We collect basic information about how the app is used to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

SMS Messaging

StintPay uses SMS to send booking confirmations, invoice links, and scheduling updates. By creating an account or submitting a booking form, you consent to receive these messages. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.

SMS messages are sent through Twilio. Your phone number is never sold or shared with marketing companies.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate StintPay:

• •Supabase — database and file storage. Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers.
• •Twilio — SMS delivery. Phone numbers are shared with Twilio solely to send messages.
• •Stripe — subscription billing and card payment processing. StintPay uses Stripe Connect to enable workers to accept credit/debit cards and Apple Pay directly from customers. Card data is collected and stored exclusively by Stripe — StintPay never sees raw card numbers, CVVs, or bank account details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment data: stripe.com/privacy.

For payments made outside of card processing (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, etc.), those are separate services with their own privacy policies. StintPay only records that a payment was received — not the transaction details of those external apps.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, you can request deletion of your data by emailing hello@stintpay.com. Customer booking data is retained on behalf of the worker; workers can delete individual jobs from their dashboard.

Your Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your data (we don't sell it, but you have the right regardless). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@stintpay.com.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. StintPay uses phone-based authentication (no passwords to steal), encrypted data transmission, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as StintPay grows. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by SMS or in the app. Continued use of StintPay after changes means you accept the updated policy.
